Eucalypt

The upper branches of the eucalyptus, like a nyctalope,

linger over the eastern slope, shunning even shade. The

tears of Argus silver in the dark. Thin leaves shiver; the

bark in fibrous slivers strips. Strands of cypress finger the

fog's white tresses. Deadwood slives. Droplets leave. The

roots of the trees address their weeds. Moisture caresses

everything — everything laves.
