Liza Orozco grew up in the city of Compton, California. She was heavily influenced by her father who was the local party DJ and also a singer/songwriter. It’s no wonder that she grew up loving music and as a teen would sneak cameras into concerts to photograph her favorite bands. Over the years she would build a portfolio of portraiture and music photography that landed her a scholarship at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. She graduated at the top of her class with distinction in photography/imaging. During this time, the opportunity arose to work with one of her favorite artist, musician Hank Williams III. She would document his life on and off the road over many years. After this, she then decided to continue her studies and travel abroad to Ireland, where she attended Griffith College Dublin to study journalism/visual media. Traveling and documenting different places/people is what she loves most and recently went to Memphis, Tennessee, for the Ameripolitan Music Awards to photography the winners. Currently she resides in Los Angeles working with various musicians and concert promoter Grand Ole Country Bunker to document the alt-country scene. Liza is also a contributing photographer/writer to the “Through the Lens” column for roots music magazine No Depression. https://www.instagram.com/los_angelena/
