Winter 2024 | Poetry

two minutes

             eventuation is a preset - a presettled

material . air pockets form in advance

as connective obligation . a finite horizontal

            dream in doles .

            doritos in compressed tube

            between cheek & bottom molars

formed nets of bubbles that smelled

of hot sand ; undigested lust situating itself

around a lapse ; connection is

trapped air ; a condition of lubricated houses

suppose i ate chafed skin from my heel -

was a gash of oil - pellet -

bagged in pastel - covenant, deficit
