Poem
Under a rainbow, a blue couch
In a blue meadow. In the distance a road
That would be blue, then a tree, also blue
And on that couch, no doubt, just us two.
Louise de Vilmorin (1902 – 1969) was a French novelist, poet and journalist. Vilmorin was best known as a writer of delicate but mordant tales, often set in aristocratic or artistic milieu.
Emilie Moorhouse lives in Montreal, Canada where she works as a teacher, writer, translator, and environmentalist. She is the translator and co-editor of Emerald Wounds: Selected Poems of Joyce Mansour.
